Getting Here

Steve and I did safely arrive in CA. However, it turned-out to be a day of fasting. We flew from Harrisburg to Atlanta to San Francisco on Sunday. The 11:50 flight from Harrisburg to Atlanta was delayed about 25 minutes. Therefore, our planned one-hour layover became 30 minutes, which was really like 20 minutes by the time we got off the plane. In short, a "last boarding" was called as we were about 200 yards from the departure gate. Our lunch opportunity was blown. Delta was kind enough two give us a few packs of crackers on the 4 1/2 hour flight. Although, I won't complain about Delta as they somehow got my baggage on the San Francisco flight. Between baggage and the metro...no restaurants. Our next failed attempt at eating was going into a San Francisco McDonald's to ask someone for directions, and to eat something. We were welcomed by a bum that was "drunk-as-a-skunk" and hollering profanities at the staff to give him a soda. We opted to walk the streets in hunger and find our hotel. In short, we finally ate around 7 pm (...that's 10:00 PM EST).
